Music in the Night

In the settled silence
We hold each other
Close in slumber
Coiling together in
Our dreams
Wind slips in
Through narrow window
Sighing at the sight
Of our closeness
Whispering its
Approval
Singing of our union
As gentle Rain
Jealous to be
Without
Is tapping out
A rhythm
Joining Wind’s song
Music to accompany
Our embrace

  1. I want to be there again, just without the knee thing:-). Your poem shows the depth of your feeling. I admire your ability to use words to paint a picture and the courage you show sharing it.
