Morning Wood
Chill and silentStanding watch
Imposing
Blocking light
Fir boughs lace together
Trying to hold back
Inquisitive mists
Night creatures have settled
Nocturnal haunts
Light creatures have yet
To stir
Thoughtful footfalls
Cause rustles on
Blanket of fallen
Needles.
